My Story

Hi there! I’m The Jolly Gardener (my real name is Simon) and welcome to my website.

Why call myself The Jolly Gardener? Well - I’ve spent the last 30 years working in an office but my real passion has been getting into the great outdoors and working on my garden and those of my friends and family.

Recently I was made redundant, which gave me the opportunity to take the plunge and make a living out of what I love doing. I guess you could say that I’m now living the dream which is why I’m so ‘jolly’ (most of the time!)

I know that trying to find a reliable and trustworthy gardener can be hard.

If you choose to use my services then I PROMISE:

To turn up on the date and time we have agreed;
To let you know in advance if I can’t turn up and why;
To carry out the job to the best of my ability;
To treat your garden as if it were my own;
To act courteously and professionally at all times;
For regular jobs, I will stick to the price we agreed for the full gardening season (March to November) in which I started.
